This notification is MANDATORY for all cosmetic products intended for sale in Malaysia, whether they are imported or locally manufactured.
The responsibility for notification lies with the manufacturer, importer, or distributor of the cosmetic product.

Halal Certification
A Halal certification is a guarantee that the food is prepared to adhere to Islamic law and is unadulterated.
In Malaysia, the Department of Islamic Development, commonly known as JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia), is responsible for enforcing Halal standards in the country and issuing halal certificates.
